I guess this is the right place, cause it is a tool so too speak. I have a K&N AIR FILTER they sell the recharge kit. What is that cleaner stuff, I always run out of just that, is there something I can use in stead. I don't use the whole thing on one cleaning but, I have like 3 cans of oil.
Next question, I going to change my fluids to royal purple, I cant find a RP oil filter. I checked all the big five auto parts places, they have the oils but don't stock the filters Open for suggestions.Last edited by roadrashmike : 03-06-2010 at 11:35 AM. Reason: oopps |

Check at Autozone/Checker for Fram filter cleaner. Its what I use, and I believe they sell the cleaner alone.

Thanks Woody, but im looking for something with a little more quality. And the the cleaner is some kind of solvent that can remove the oils from just about anything but doesnt harm the fibers in the filter.

you can buy the cleaner stuff seperate just about anywhere. The fram stuff is probably the same solution. I forgot that I already had one bottle and so I bought another and now I see that I've got two of them.

Well thanks for the info, I`ll have to try the other four cause Vato-Zone doesn`t carry it alone.

Try SDHQ in Chandler for cleaners and oils.
I personally think the cleaner is a waste of money (I have good results with warm water and dawn dishsoap.....let it air dry). The oils and pre-filters are worth the $$$$! I know they also stock and sell Royal Purple oil/filters. http://www.superduty-hq.com/
