Default xj control arms

I have stock lower control arms on my xj.. they are pretty smashed up, and am looking into getting aftermarket ones that maybe can give me a little more clearance as well so i don't hit them so much? Thoughts? brands? ideas?

with short arms there isn't much out there that is going to be high clearance. problem is if you bend an arm for clearance it will bottom out on the factory d30 brackets while drooping. i would go with something that fits your budget.

i have had rusty's and rubicon express arms. the rusty's were a fixed arm and very beefy. no worries about sliding them over rocks. the r.e. were smaller and had flex joints at one end. worked well but ended up bending them... thin wall and small diameter tubing.

hmm... alright, I think I'll probably go with the Rustys arms then. I was looking at them today and they seem priced well

I started with the RE 3.5 lift kit which had fixed LCA with bushings. Ran well with no problems until I got pinched in a spot. Winching out mangled the mounts and egged the end of the arm. I ran them over rocks (not intentionally) all the time. Since then I've gone to the RK 3 link LA kit.

you should save your money and go long arm, look at TnT Customs Y-link,under $900 and by far the best out there, the arms mount inside of the new crossmember thats 1" higher then stock made of 1/4" plate, the lower arms are 2"- 3/8" wall

i haven't been into jeeps very long, but i haven't really heard anything good about the Y-link arms, they seem to bind and tear off mounts... just what i've heard, and had to repair.

Never had a problem with mine, and I've never heard of TnT's Y-link binding, this is the same system as the XJs

I dont know how long they have been building them but the Jeep in the picture has been running their Y-link for years and has been abused on every terrain out there, it was getting repainted for SEMA and 2" bigger tires to 42s, 2" less lift for a lower COG, I haven't seen a Y-link out there that even comes close
